Fresatura e fresatrice

La fresatura è la tecnica di lavorazione in forme complesse di parti metalliche o di altri materiali fatta con la fresatrice.

La fresatrice consiste in un motore, piuttosto potente, su cui è fissata tramite un mandrino una punta con delle lame (fresa) che ruotano sull’asse della punta stessa.

Le fresatrici possono essere controllate manualmente o computerizzate. Quando sono fresatrici computerizzate si definiscono a controllo numerico o CNC (=computer numerical control) e sono usate per lavorazioni ad alta precisione e si possono utilizzare in tutte le lavorazioni.
